Abstract
Medical technology is very vital in America, considering that medical technology will cultivate effective and safe prevention models, diagnoses, rehabilitation and treatment of diseases and illness (Lyons et al, 2003). Medical technology is enhanced through devices, pharmaceuticals, organizational systems and the medical procedures applied in the healthcare. Technology is changing with socialization and globalization, calling for a need of improving the healthcare technology in monitoring, diagnosing and treating medical conditions facing Americans (Lyons et al, 2003).
Problem definition
The world is changing fast due to socialization and globalization. New medical technologies are being developed by researchers in the medical field in dealing with the health care complications and in keeping up with the trend and remaining relevant in the American health care system. The providers of the healthcare in the United States must keep on updating their technological systems. It has been noted that a number of medical institutions has not upgraded to the current technology in the medicine (Policymaking for Health Care and the environment, 2010).
Problem evidence/ Need for a policy
Medical technology policy is critical in enhancing Americans get the latest management models of illnesses and diseases. Medical science is applied in improving the overall healthcare quality through limited invasive treatment, up to date diagnoses and general reductions in rehabilitation times and hospital stays (Lyons et al, 2003). Surveys have shown that the medical technology interventions have models resonating with cost reductions in information technology, medical devices, healthcare services and biotech. Current medical technology if adapted to all the healthcare facilities in America will enable the healthcare practitioners to manage illnesses and diseases faster and more accurate, which will work positively to the people of the United States.
Alternative solutions to the challenges
