GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) is an exaggerated excitement whereby an individual is worried about the daily problems for no reason. There are varied pharmacologic options that can be applied in treating GAD. Antidepressants and pharmacotherapy are used to treat anxiety disorders, although they have differences in terms of effectiveness. Antidepressants are usually active and most used in the first line of treatment as compared to pharmacotherapy methods. Typically, pharmacologic options have a significant impact, but they can become more effective when combined with other forms of therapies.
