Spinal trauma occurs from the destruction of tissues surrounding the injured spinal cord. Equally, inadequate immobilization of the injured spine also is another cause of the spinal trauma (McCance & Huether, 2019). An injury to the spine can still occur without any vertebral fracture of stretching of the cord that causes dislocation. Sometimes it is caused by the flexion and unnecessary extension of the vertebral column.
