Mental Health Discussion
The main duties of crisis response in mental health include assessing the situation and prompt assistance. These actions are intended to reduce the possibility that the individual, their family, or others may suffer harm. It comprises assessing the person's psychological and physical well-being, connecting them with the appropriate resources, and providing emotional and practical support (Rossetto et al., 2018). A range of strategies, such as de-escalation, planning for safety, and linking the person in need with the required services, must be used in a crisis response to be effective.
