Health informatics consists of the relational study that exists between the development, design, adoption and implementation of IT-natured innovations in health care services. The innovations also extend to how the services are involved in the delivery, management and planning of the health care services. Having been introduced into other industries such as retail banking and manufacturing, it is only right that the IT based services be introduced into the health care domain to introduce transformation of the initially otherwise under delivered services. Public Health Information
This group focuses on the application of the information technology and computer science to the practice of public health, learning and research methodology. It is only right that this is done because the public is the sector that should benefit most from the modification of health care services. The inclusion of modern technological developments into the service delivery enhances the efficiency with which they are delivered. The public’s access to information should be limitless. People need to know their health status through the various avenues placed for them. The posting of medical information on websites and blogs aids in informing the public what their ailments may consists of and how to handle them through natural or medicinal regiments. Before the introduction of technology in the deliverance of healthcare, accessing this information was only possible through consulting a qualified doctor. People can now know how to treat a sick person just by accessing the information freely from the internet. The public health informatics group is also involved in the research parameters included in the medical field through methods such as surveys and individual participation in test medical procedures. Their inclusion in the collection of medical data is fundamental in developing their understanding of what the medical professionals go through.
