Statistical process control (SPC) refers to the statistical methods utilized to improve quality control, where processes are monitored to manage controls and evaluate areas requiring improvement. One of the ways that SPC is useful is in analyzing patient data where variabilities are considered to reduce medication errors. There is continuous improvement when the health organization uses patient and medication data to monitor quality control.
