According to ALHAWRI (2020), as a registered nurse, one gets the opportunity to provide the needed help to patients. Thus, it is one of the best professions because one gets to always provide aid to other people who are feeling unwell. Consequently, as a registered nurse, I get to serve the public diligently, but the role I play as a health care provider will be expanded if I get a higher level of education. Thus, there is a need for a registered nurse to acquire education in other health care areas, such as a certificate in Critical Care Nursing.
How an increase in education level impact one's competitiveness
When a nurse has acquired different levels of education in a given medical field, their competency level increases, leading to them being more competitive in the current job market. An example is when I advance my level of education and become a nurse practitioner. Through this, I will easily fit into management and leadership positions as I offer my nursing services, and this makes me more competitive. Additionally, when an individual is a nurse practitioner, they are deemed to have more clinical experience and a wider practice scope. Thus, in the current job market, a nurse who increases their level of education becomes more competitive and is a preferred choice by most employers.
