In recent years there has been a discussion regarding food safety. The main reason is an international increase in contamination and adulteration of food supplies. Even though most people acknowledge that this issue exists, they still need to take measures to control it. A food defense plan is one of the best ways to help detect and mitigate this threat (Hanson, 2023). One step of the food defense plan has a vulnerability assessment. At this stage, individuals will check the potential impact on public health, the physical access to the product, and the probability that the attacker has succeeded in contaminating the system.
