High-density lipoprotein (HDL) is considered “good” and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) is considered “bad.” HDL is responsible for the reverse cholesterol transport and reduces cardiovascular risk, while LDL causes buildup of cholesterol in the arteries.Explain the function of the good form of this sterol in the body.
LDL absorbs cholesterol and this is then carried to the liver, and then the liver flushes the cholesterol from the body.List four different foods that are sources of the bad form.
