Since the outbreak of COVID-19, there has been continuous discussion regarding this topic. Since the disease had critical impacts, it was important to make a report regarding the disease. This process could help the responsible bodies employ the right measures to control the disease. Even though most people believed that reporting and controlling the disease was easy, some factors made this process difficult. Even though there were various factors, the common factors were subclinical and mild infections. Even though COVID-19 was expected to have some symptoms, there were some instances where the patients experienced asymptomatic subclinical cases. For example, there were instances where the patients did not have signs despite having this condition. The main reason which caused a lack of symptoms was they lacked upper respiratory symptoms (Zhang et al., 2020). Furthermore, patients having mild infections caused the reporting of COVID-19 to be hard. The main reason the infection was mild, it also had mild symptoms. The mild symptoms were fever, headache, nausea, and vomiting, similar to other health conditions (NIH, 2023). This result made it hard for the patients to determine whether they suffered from COVID-19.
