Introduction
Research indicates that for the treatment of anxiety disorders, therapy is often the most effective option and approach for treatment. This is because therapy (anxiety therapy) is effective in treating more than a single symptom of the prevalent problem (anxiety) unlike medication (anxiety medication). Therapy helps an individual reveal the cause of worry and fear and hence promote relaxation and perceive situations in more subtle and less frightening ways hence develop better coping skills. Therapy provides the tools for coping with anxiety and teaches an individual how to use the tools. Therefore, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy will be effective hence Cognitive Behavioral Theory will be applied (Hofmann & Smits, 2008).

Cognitive-Behavioral Theory (CBT) refers to the concept that cognition (thought process) plays a crucial role in changing behaviors.
