Change theory or change knowledge is an important tool used to inform nurses on the ancient methods used to dress wounds and still achieve the best results equal to using the modern methods that have been developed over time. Change theory works very well with nurses because they understand the dynamic changes that take place in the process of dressing the chronic ulcers wound in adult patients. A good example in which change theory has been expressed quite clearly is the increase of ‘professional learning communities' (PLCs).
