Week 1: Introduction and Chapter
In Chapter 1, I read Defining the Best, where Bain describes the best college teachers. I have never experience to teach in the classroom. Instead, I learned and experienced from the teacher and practicum that I observed. This is why students must read and understand this chapter. There are six chapters:
I believe that the best teacher understands American Sign Language and can conveniently teach students. I need to practice being a teacher and learn how to use the curriculum and lesson plan to teach sign language.
How Do They Prepare to Teach?
Teachers must be adequately prepared before beginning any teaching session. I will ensure that everything is ready according to the curriculum and the lesson plans. I want to make sure that my lesson plan and other content I prepared are easy to use because if I fall sick and cannot attend to students, someone can take over using my content and the lesson plan.
