Translanguaging is concerned with communication. There are times when individuals are needed to become language teachers. This means they have to focus on accuracy in English so that learners can establish a deeper understanding and become proficient speakers (Cioè-Peña, 2017). With translanguaging, learners gain the ability to understand who languages are linked and how they cause use their home languages to heighten their learning experiences.

Translanguaing is a process of using more than one language during classroom lessons. It also describes how bilinguals use linguistic resources to interact with the world. It is a pedagogical approach because, during academic lessons, two languages are used in the same lesson. This is different from other teaching approaches of bilingual education that try to separate languages by time, day, and class (Celic & Seltzer, 2013). Translanguaging entails issues of effective communication, language production, and thought processes behind the use of language. Additionally, it is a pedagogical approach since it is an outcome of bilingualism.
