What procedures and structures have you implemented that promote a positive learning environment?
As a teacher, my environment for teaching will mainly be the classroom and outdoor environment. Some of the strategies I have in place for the learners include addressing them by their names, maintaining eye contact, and being supportive to their needs. Barr (2016) explains that the learning environment has a direct impact on the success of learners. A positive learning environment is a collective responsibility of the school administration and the teacher. I do not want to create an environment where children are insecure. Additionally, to improve positive response in behavior, I will consider using incentives and reinforcements for learners.
