Neoliberalism is a concept that advocates for free market capitalism with emphasis on private ownership of resources over public ones. The following are examples of how the concept manifests. Firstly, the American economy is characterized by large corporations that have substantial influence and get the support of the government. Secondly, it encourages privatization of resources as demonstrated by the emergence of privately owned prisons.
