Even though there are 10 lessons in Eisner’s (2002) 10 Lessons Arts Teach, I chose lesson 1; the arts teach children to make good judgments about qualitative relationships. One reason for learning this lesson is that it will help to understand how arts help boost children's imagination and creativity. The children can also use art as a language of expression (Griebling, 2011). One of the reasons engagement in arts helps develop social, cognitive, and personal competencies.
