In a school setting, it is the provision of equal opportunities for everyone regardless of cultural identity. Inclusion: It is the act of engaging people from diverse backgrounds. Diversity: It means engaging people's differences including their culture, beliefs, values, abilities, preferences, and identities. Reflection Diversity presents both opportunities and challenges for educators. It can enrich the learning environment by bringing together students with different ideas, perspectives, and experiences to the classroom. However, with diversity, meeting the needs of students with different cultural identities may be difficult due to dissimilar learning styles, personal abilities, and cultural backgrounds. My cultural values and spiritual beliefs have influenced me to value diversity and inclusion in education by strengthening my understanding and respect for other people’s cultures. Part 2: Cultural Identifiers Everyone belongs to and identifies with a particular cultural group or community based on traditions, customs, language, values, and behaviors that define that particular group.
