Article Analysis Your Name Course and Section Professor's Name July 25, 2024 Summary of Learning The paper showed a strong relationship between transformational leadership and OCB and organizational employee performance. The leadership capacity to get employees to look past their technical positions in an organization is transformational leadership, enabling proactive reporting and going beyond what is expected. The transformation comes with painting a graphic picture of the vision, encouraging idea-appropriate behavior, and demonstrating organizational flashlights to the employees. These steps encourage the employees' commitment and improve job performance and satisfaction. Moreover, this research unveils that morale has to be developed and supported in the workplace as it is one of the determinants of the performance of various organizations. Transformational leadership involves four key components. Effective leadership styles include (1)Idealized Influence, (2)Inspirational Motivation, (3)Intellectual Stimulation, and (4)Individual Consideration. This type relates to the leaders' ability to set the standards and gain the recognition and admiration of the followers (Budur & Demir, 2022). This motivation focuses on the leaders inspiring and encouraging the employees by disseminating vision. Surprising Knowledge The degree to which OCB moderates the link between transformational leadership and employee performance was relatively high, which was a shock. The results indicate that over 50% of the effect of transformational leadership on performance is transmitted through OCB. This was quite surprising because these underlying discretionary behaviors needed to be included in the formally prescribed organizational plan expected of the employees instigated by transformational leaders. This identification underlines the necessity of creating an organizational culture where such behaviors are promoted as it is helpful to impact the organizational performance in addition to the assigned responsibilities.
