She claimed that a miniaturized machine she had invented could map out our health with only a single drop of blood (Randazo, 2021). Elizabeth’s company, Theranos, was considered a unicorn startup of Silicon Valley, and she was the female version of Steve Jobs. Her revolutionary charm attracted wealthy investors who made the company worth 9 billion and its founder the youngest self-made female billionaire (Randazo, 2021). Around 2013, Theranos secured partnerships with Capital Blue Cross, Cleveland Clinic, and Walgreens that propagated her company’s agenda (Randazo, 2021).
