I think we are all aware of the damages that the pandemic has brought to the world: businesses are closing, unemployment rose, more people struggled to get by. We are all affected by the pandemic, and that is why we are aware of its effects. More so, in the business industry, business entities are pulling all the cards they have to keep the operations going. Some have managed to continue while the others could no longer. It is truly a sad reality for the business industry. The pandemic has brought a wide range of disruption in organizations that all aspects, from HR, management, customer service, production, etc., are taking the toll.
In a Bloomberg article written by Rita Nazareth and Claire Ballentine last December 8, the stock market and economic adjustments are at fluctuation amidst recovery from the pandemic. The article Stocks Fluctuate Amid Stimulus Talks, Virus Surge: Markets Wrap gives a brief discussion on the state of the stock market for companies like Tesla, Pfizer, and many more. It admits to the uncertainty of the end of the pandemic despite the visible development of vaccines and other measures to combat the virus (Nazareth & Ballentine, 2020). Because of the pandemic, big companies are having little to no increase in their stocks. Tesla, whose industry is greatly affected by the health crisis, receives a depreciation, while the stock market Nasdaq-100 had a decrease.
