Strategic planning is a continuous process that uses available knowledge to document the intended direction of the business (Cote, 2020). Managers use several models and tools for this purpose. This paper examines the significance of these models (SWOT, BCG, and IE matrices) in strategic planning at Hasbro, Inc. Matrix Construction An establishment’s external opportunities and threats, its internal strengths and weaknesses, are listed to create a SWOT matrix. These components are used to match the critical internal and external factors to create four different kinds of strategies: Strategies for weaknesses-threats (WT), strengths-opportunities (SO), weaknesses-opportunities (WO), and strengths-threats (ST) (David et al., 2024). The SWOT matrix comprises four quadrants: two rows and two columns. The left side of the first row is labeled the internal environment, where the first square lists strengths and the second one lists the weaknesses.
