INTRODUCTION
An internship is a formal or official program that enables students in any profession or activity to have practical experience. It provides students with an environment to link classroom theory and knowledge with practical skills and application. An internship program is also a fulfillment of any course undertaken for the award of Degree, Diploma or certificate in any field. During the internship program, students can figure out what they like and don’t like, it also helps them build their resume by gaining professional experience and also learn from others. An internship also helps students to learn organizational behavior both in the external and internal environment encouraging them to be productive. They can play the role of an employee and work within a structured environment. Students are also able to experience the real expectation concerning the real working environment (Davies, 2010). Due to the above reasons, my institution has organized 5 weeks of training in any organization of student's choice which aims at giving each student a chance to knowledge and skills acquired during their course of study and also gain new skills in their various fields of study. Due to the reasons above, I decided to join Davis Legend to be trained and acquire practical skills in marketing and sales management.
PURPOSE
The internship program is fulfillment for the award of a degree in my area of study.
This report is a summary of the activities I engaged with and duties carried out during my internship program and also some of the experiences gained during my 5 weeks stay in Davis Legend.

Value: Offer product at an affordable price with quality performance and modern designs that meet customer’s satisfaction.
Davis Legend offers a range of AV and network materials such as cables, cabinets, projector screen, connectors and more. They are committed to their customers and their support is unparalleled. That is when customers are no satisfied with their products, they can exchange or refund. Their products can also be accessed online from their online catalog and they surely deliver to their customers.
Sales and Marketing
Sales and marketing is an important aspect of any organization that has products that need to reach customers. It aims at creating awareness. Sales entail all of the activities that are involved in to promote and sell goods and services while marketing includes the process of advertising and distributing a product or service. Davis Legend aims at customer satisfaction thus sales and marketing is an important department in the organization. During my 5 weeks internship, I was to work as a sales and marketing assistant in the business department. I was to carry out the following activities, maintain online store product descriptions and documents, promote the product using Google local engine, and research on how to improve sales, pricing strategies, and product line design.
Activities
Below are some of the duties I was assigned as the sales and marketing assistant. I worked hand in hand with the other employees from the sales and marketing department to make sure that I was on the right track and also worked under my supervisor to whom I was to report to if I needed any help.
Activity 1: Maintain online store, product description, and documents
An online store is an app or a website where customers can find and order and pay goods and services. Davis Legend majored in online selling and as an intern, I had to help them maintain the store. The following are some of the strategies I used to attract target customers to ensure that Davis Legend stands out.
Offering the needed online support: when customers purchase online, some of the products do not meet their expectations. To ensure that customers made the right decision before purchase, I ensured that they were well supported from the moment they made an order until their order was delivered. In case of any complains customers were asked to consult our customer care. By listening to customers' complaints, we were able to develop a good customer relationship and also maintained our customers.
Advertising on social media: To connect with our potential customers, we opened new accounts on social media platforms where we were able to advertise our products. This led to a rise in the number of customers thus our online store never lacked orders from our customers.
Product Reviews: product ratings and reviews increase product trustworthiness. Customers rely on other buyer’s feedback as they can tell how other customers think about your product. We encouraged our customers to leave reviews regarding our products. Most of the reviews were positive thus more customers purchased from our online store.
Product description: The product description aims at providing adequate information to the customer regarding the product they are purchasing. At Davis Legend we ensure that all products contained adequate information regarding its benefit, how to use it and more about its features. This made it easier for customers to purchase.
Promotion of product with Google local engine: promotion entails creating awareness regarding a certain product and also reminding them of its existence. It aims at creating brand loyalty, increasing sales, creating awareness and also creating interest. Promotion is important as it increases brand awareness, strengthens the focus on Marketing, it builds profits and also increases customer traffic. Davis Legend being an international online store, used various Google tricks to ensure create brand awareness.
Ways used to promote the business In the Google local engine
Use of social connections: this makes it easy for an organization or any company to connect with people. The more customers are the better. Promote your social account and be always active.
Use of local search citations: local citation is when someone has reviewed your business on a website. This is possible by encouraging your customers to always leave a review after purchasing your products. The reviews are the major Google signals and it helps in the rating of your products thus attracting more customers.
Optimizing your website for search engines: when customers need to purchase a product or service their first step is to search for the product on Google to gather as much information they can about the product and then decide on where to purchase. It is important to optimize your website so that you can be visible to your customers. Failure to do this means that you do not exist losing many potential buyers.
Answer questions: people turn to specific forums on the internet when stuck and they need answers. Examples of sites where people post their questions are Yahoo Answers, Quora, or LinkedIn Groups. Start by creating an account on sites and search for your products and services. By doing this, lots of questions will pop regarding your products. This will increase the amount of traffic on your site thus more customers.
Activity 3: Ways to improve sales on Amazon and other sites
Any online store aims at making a profit. To increase profits, companies must find ways on how to increase their sales. The more sales are made the more chances there are of making profits. Davis Legend uses amazon and other sites to improve their sales. Below are some of the way we used to improve our sales
