China is the most populated country globally with a size of 1.3 billion people and this form 20% of the population on earth. It occupies most of the East Asian part of the continent and fourth largest in the region. Moreover, it has an area coverage of 9,596,960 Km2 with 9,326,410 Km2 of inland lakes and rivers. China has reduced fertility rate, however, its population is still increasing with a considerable gender imbalance (119 boys born for every 100 girls). The life expectancy in China is high with an increasingly high number of the aging population (Federal Research Division, 2006). The age structures based on the 2006 estimates the age structure is 0-14 years (20%), 15-64 years (71.4%), and 65 years and older (7.7%) with a birth rate of 13.3 births per 1,000 and a death rate of 6.9 per 1,000. China has a well-developed physical infrastructure in different sectors of the economy comprising of well-developed and advanced buildings, roads, railways, airports, water and waste, energy, ports, and metro and light rail. The Chinese government is led by a president and is a communist country (Federal Research Division, 2006).
The United Kingdom (UK) is a sovereign under Queen Elizabeth II. The country is a monarchy state and, therefore, has no president. The prime minister is second to the queen. It has a land area of 241,590 km2 with its total area being 244,820 km2. The population according to the 2012 estimates is approximately 63,047,162 with a birth rate of 12.27/100, infant mortality rate of 4.56/100, life expectancy of 80.17, and a population density of 255.6. It uses the Sterling Pound and has GDP/PPP of $2.288 trillion and a per capita of $36,500. The country has well developed physical infrastructure with approximately 16,454 km of railway, 394,428 km of highways that are all paved, 3,200 km of waterways, with 22 harbors and 462 airports (European Comission, 2014).
The United States is in the Northern part of America bordering the North Atlantic and North Pacific Oceans. Its area is of 9,826,675 km2 with a land area of 9,161,966 km2 and water 664,709 km2 and the third largest globally with a population of 318,892,103 according to 2014 estimates. The structure of age of is as follows: 19.4% are 0-14 years (31,580,349 male/30,221,106 female); 13.7% are 15-24 years (22,436,057 male/21,321,861 female); 39.9% are 25-54 years (63,452,792 male/63,671,631 female); 14.5% are 55-64 years (19,309,019 male/20,720,284 female); and 13.9% 65 years and above (20,304,644 male/25,874,360 female) (Weforum.org, 2013). The government is a federal republic that is based on the constitution. It also has a strong democratic background and tradition with over fifty states and one administrative district. The state is based on the common law system based on the English common law at federal level; the state legal systems are based on common law except for Louisiana that is based on the Napoleonic civil code. The United State’s economy is the strongest, largest, and most technologically powerful in the world. It uses the US dollar and has a GDP of $49,800 and a purchasing power of $16.72 trillion and a GDP per capita of $ 52,800 and an expenditure of $ 3.517 trillion. It is well advanced technologically with modern physical infrastructure in telecommunications (139 million lines and 310 million cellular), broadcast media, 505 million internet hosts. In addition, it has 13,513 airports, 2,225,032 km of petroleum and natural gas, 224,792 km railways, 6,586,610 km roads, 41,009 km waterways, 393 merchant marine, and several ports and terminals (Weforum.org, 2013).
India is locating in the Southern part of Asia and bordering the Arabian Sea and Bengal Bay located between Burma and Pakistan. It has a total area of 3,287,263 km2 with a land area of 2,973,193 km2 and water 314,070 km2. India has a population of 1,236,344,631 people with the main language being Hindu. The age structure is as follows; 28.5% are 0-14 years, 18.1% are 15-24 years, 40.6% are 25-54 years, 5.8% are 55-64 years, and 5.7% are 65 years and above. India is growing a turning into an open-market economy with a GDP of $4.962 trillion and expenditure of $281.6 billion (cia.gov, 2014). India has a relatively well developed infrastructure with 346 airports, 35,676 km of gas, liquid petroleum, oil, refined products, water, and gas. It has 63,974 km of railway, 4,689,842 km of roads, 14,500 km waterways, 340 merchant marines, and several sea ports and container ports (cia.gov, 2014).
