In this information age, information networks are necessary for business organizations especially in information deployment and mobilization. However, the main challenge in the running of information systems is that they constantly develop both minor and major operating problems. With this regard, a number of support sites have been developed in order to help users to understand what these problems are and how to fix them. In this case, Protonic is one of the online community sites that offer free technical support on computer systems through the email (Gizmo's, 2014). This research project aims at utilizing the Protonic technical support site to critically analyze the "404 Error Page" that normally displays on the computer screen when using the Internet. This will be achieved by first subscribing to the community site by providing the e-mail address and the new password. The next step will entail posing the question: "what is the 404 Error Page and what causes it?" The answer to the question will be received through the e-mail.
What is the 404 Error Page and what causes it?
The question was posted on the Protonic online site and the answers were received via the e-mail. The 404 Error Page is actually the page that is displayed when the user tries to search for unavailable page through the Internet. This error page is as a result of providing a wrong link to the server. Moreover, then error page can also be displayed when one is asking for that has been actually removed from the Web site. The 404 Error Page is regarded to be a status code for the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) standard. Besides, the 404 Error Page is regarded to be a response that the page is "NOT FOUND" and it implies that the user has communicated to the computer server but the request cannot be found by the server.
