Nike inc. is a multinational corporation based in Beaverton, USA. Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight found it in 1964, Nike product is the first P in the five Ps of marketing followed by price, place, people, and promotion. Its primary target customers are between the age of 15 years to 40 and cater to both men and women equally. Its marketing is mainly in the US, and this helps increase the market share on athletic apparel more than advertising its footwear.
External Analysis
Adidas is a worldwide brand and Nike's top competitor. Their rivalry is across different footwear sectors and sports equipment. As a competitor, Adidas claims to be the most significant sportswear manufacturer in Europe, and it's second in the USA as Nike is the longest standing sportswear in the USA (Dawson, 2003).
