Ethical Dilemmas As a criminal justice and public safety professional, you likely have encountered many situations that raised questions related to ethics. In this Discussion, you will define social responsibility and ethics based on your current understanding and reflect on your personal experiences with ethical dilemmas. Consider ethical dilemmas you have faced personally, professionally, or academically. You will reflect on one ethical dilemma in the Discussion. If you do not want to share a personal experience in this Discussion, you can instead reflect on one of the ethical dilemmas at the end of Chapter 1 in Ethical Dilemmas and Decisions in Criminal Justice (Pollock, 2022). By Day 3 Write an initial post in which you:  Define social responsibility and ethics based on your current understanding. Summarize a difficult ethical dilemma you faced. Include what options were available to you. Explain what option you chose and why. Identify who was affected by the decision. Detail any laws, rules, or guidelines that affected your decision. Use key terms such as: discretion, duties, ethical dilemmas, ethical issues, ethics, imperfect duties, morals, supererogatories, and values. Ask any questions you may have about your ethical dilemma or your chosen options and outcomes.
