Question 1: Many strategies can be used to encourage students to think about and learn the concepts of heat. The strategies are applicable for grade 9 and 10 students, and the applicable classroom standards will be GSE for Physics.
Strategy 1: The first strategy is the classroom experiment, where a teacher lets students investigate and record their findings and then discuss them with other classmates. The teacher should give minimal instructions and allow for student inquiries. This allows the class to develop their ideas about what is happening in the experiment (Molbaek, 2018).
Strategy 2: Another strategy that teachers can use is working backward from a problem. For example, if you have an equation that shows how fast something cools down, you can work backward by taking away energy from it to see how much energy it produces (Molbaek, 2018).
