Level of Evidence
Diabetes is causing a significant disease burden in terms of costs and health due to the increasing prevalence of obesity.
The study seeks to establish effectiveness in managing obesity and weight in controlling and preventing diabetes.
The study deploys a meta-analysis approach.
Systematic review or meta-analysis
The study incorporates a mix of various studies in a meta-analysis, including clinical trials and prospective studies.
The study deploys rigorously done studies, including a prospective and clinical trial with a substantial level of evidence and effective research methodology.
The overall findings showed that moderate exercise combined with diet lead to a lowered risk of diabetes, delayed onset of diabetes, and decreased the need for anti-glycemic use.
a)Strengths
Use various studies to confirm and strengthen the level of evidence.
It has a strong implication for clinical health practices
b)Weaknesses
Various studies present mixed research methodologies accompanied by mixed subjectivity, research bias, and the inability to compare variables (Riobó Serván, 2013).
Level I due to the substantive use of clinical trials.
Article Description paragraph: related to the above chart findings
Diabetes is a global epidemic accompanied by health and economic burden. However, there is a high potential for reducing the burden of diabetes. Clinical trials have demonstrated strong evidence that lifestyle modification is the most effective and practical tool in preventing or delaying type 2 diabetes (Riobó Serván, 2013). In the cases associated with overweight and obese patients, a substantial weight-loss goal of 5-10% can minimize diabetes risk. For instance, moderate intensity of physical activity, brisk walking for approximately 150 minutes per week can reduce diabetes risk, even without weight loss. Thus, the prevention of diabetes must be prioritized.

Level of Evidence
The study attempts to determine bariatric surgery's indication and effectiveness in managing health outcomes, especially in excess weight cases.
It is a systematic review of randomized clinical trials, prospective and observational studies.
120 studies reviewed
The study used clinical trials and peer-reviewed papers.
Intense lifestyle interventions lead to about 10% at one year and maintain weight loss at 5.3% over eight years.
4 Pharmacotherapy offers short term weight loss solutions.
Bariatric surgery is more effective in severe cases of obesity where other methods are unsuccessful, especially in patients with h body mass index of >40 and for patients with BMI 35 to 40 with associated comorbid conditions (Wolfe Kvach, Eckel,2016).
Bariatric carries a relatively low risk of less than three percent in most risk procedures (Wolfe Kvach, Eckel, 2016).
Bariatric surgical intervention comes with many benefits, including reducing the incidence of hypercholesterolemia, hypertension, diabetes, body fat deposition, prediabetes, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, inflammation, and obstructive sleep apnea (Wolfe Kvach, Eckel, 2016).
Many of the published literature on bariatric surgery are comprised of observational data. However, there are few observational trials with constructed comparator groups that are matched with non-surgical populations. Few clinical trials have been done due to medical ethical issues.
Evidence level 1
Article Description paragraph: related to the above chart findings
Bariatric surgery plays a fundamental role in reducing cardiovascular diseases and other substantial benefits, including controlling diabetes. The primary goal of bariatric surgery to accomplish weight loss is founded on the idea that obesity is associated with many adverse health outcomes. Bariatric surgery can work well in patients who have unsuccessfully to reduce excess weight via non-surgical options.
. The primary benefit of weight control through bariatric surgery involves decreasing comorbidities, quality of life, and all-cause mortality (Wolfe Kvach, Eckel, 2016). The weight loss underpins the need for bariatric surgery in eliminating cardiovascular risks as marked by a reduction in parameters like body fat distribution, hypercholesterolemia, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and inflammation, among others (Wolfe Kvach, Eckel, 2016).
