It reviews studies on technology-supported special education, analyzing some aspects including learning devices, strategies, domains, and environments. From this review, Cheng and Lai (2020) noted an upward trend in the volume and diversity of learning devices, but rather a very conservative approach to learning strategies with guided learning being dominant. The article identifies that while technology applications have grown to cover all learning domains, the most prevalent applications were noted in elementary school students and in resource classrooms.
