The emotional cutoff in the Bowen's theoretical model refers to the situation when the family member cuts off emotional contact with members of their family in addressing unresolved emotional issues. Besides, the sibling position in the model forms that part of several studies that have proven that those in similar sibling position predictably have shared significance traits. The societal emotional process in the Bowen theoretical model addresses the behavior of an individual on the societal level. The culture that anyone lives in the society forms an important part as the individual is not only within the confines of the family unit. Interventions Researching the genograms remains as a valuable assessment tool and intervention. The intervention is through identifying patterns of behaviors that remain to continue over generations.
