It was released in 1993 and became a hit because it grossed over a billion dollars at the box office (Attawood, 2021). The movie is about pragmatic palaeontologists who go to an island called Isla Nublar on a mission to witness dinosaurs. A billionaire known as John Hammond created the dinosaurs using prehistoric DNA. The palaeontologists Elie Sattler and Alan Grant are eager and excited to explore the island. Additionally, a mathematician, Ian Malcolm, joins them on the journey to explore the theme park. John Hammond guarantees that the theme park is secure, with advanced security systems to avoid unwanted interaction between humans and the dinosaurs. Once they arrive at the theme park, they are amazed at the sight of living dinosaurs. Hammond’s grandchildren join the tour of the theme park. A computer systems geek shuts down the power supply, meaning all the dinosaurs are free. The hand-picked visitors experience their worst nightmares turning to reality when ferocious predators like velociraptors and tyrannosaurus rex are set free. The people in the park are forced to navigate the deadly terrain to survive in the park. YOUR REASONS Instructions: Using specific examples, explain why you chose this media piece to evaluate.
