Every senior executive officer ought to have good and competent leadership skills to ensure smooth running of the company. Most senior officers have been successful in their companies and organization through their conduct and tactics of addressing situation in the line of duty. The measure that each executive officer takes determines the level of success for their businesses as well as the efficiency lost or earned. Some leaders have been termed successful in their application effective leadership styles, which has made their efforts worthwhile (Ferguson, 2004). For instance, Ivan Seidenberg, the former Chief Executive Officer of the Verizon, put a great impact on numerous people who worked with him in the company. Moreover, he has made a tremendous record as a Chief Executive Officer in the company and was credited for great achievement during his time in leadership.
Currently, Ivan Seidenberg bears a net worth of fifty five million dollars, as an American businessperson. He earned this net worth in his service as a former CEO and Chairman of Verizon communication. Moreover, Seidenberg made a good name for himself while at the company which enhanced his relationship with the employees and other managers. His strategies of transforming the company did not only influence the employees but the entire nation and world. As he joined one of the Verizon’s predecessor companies, he was simple yet packed with ideas and when the chance for him to unleash them came, he did that gladly by bringing a fast transformation up on the company. In addition, he transformed Verizon into a company that is premier in global networking, by putting up a wireless network in all areas of the nation, deploying the fiber broad bands of high speed right into the homes of the residents, as well as enhancing the global internet of Verizon to be the backbone network all over the world. These achievements left the company at a very high rate that was inaccessible to other competitors. The good relationship and approachable nature of Seidenberg as well as the fact that he met their opinions and grievances made the most productive and qualified employees to remain in the company. The working conditions and terms were favorable and thus he knew that this would help increase the performances of the employees. This has increased the productivity of the company because the competent employees who work together are maintained through good relations.
