Leveraging Human Capital at the Blake Assisted Living
The Blake Assisted Living (BAL) understands its employees as the primary assets considering the role that they play in delivering quality care to the residents. Partly, it is the employees who have kept The Blake Assisted Living ahead of the competition by meeting the physical, emotional, and social needs of the residents. However, the operational environment is dynamic and the management must advance avenues of ensuring that employees, as the key assets to the organization, are accorded what they need to achieve even bigger goals. To that extent, leveraging human capital is a primary strategic objective at Blake Assisted Living (BAL). In this proposal, emphasis is put on the avenues that BAL could deploy to develop and motivate their employees in a continued effort toward leveraging human capital. To Blake Assisted Living (BAL), having a comprehensive plan that emphasizes performance indicators, rewards, and incentives alongside insightful HR strategies to recruit, retain, and empower staff is the only avenue to leverage human capital.
Tasks and Performance Indicators Leading to Employee Performance
Employees at Blake Assisted Living can execute a wide range of essential tasks in resident care that contribute to the overall operational success of the organization. The other primary responsibilities of the employees include maintaining compliance with the prevalent health, safety, and operational standards as well as improving the residents’ quality of life by engaging them in meaningful activities (Paul & Heijden, 2024). Combined, the above primary responsibilities define the success factors at the BAL.
However, executing the above responsibilities effectively demands an accommodation of efficient performance indicators. At the BAL, various performance indicators can be deployed individually and collectively to stimulate the execution of responsibilities as per the organizational and industry standards. The first performance indicator at the facility is resident satisfaction. The management at BAL must ensure that their residents are satisfied. To understand the scope of the satisfaction, the organization should implement the use of feedback and internal surveys (Rees & Smith, 2021). Secondly, the organization should deploy its compliance index to determine its performance against industry standards. The other key performance indicators considerations at the BAL include peer recognition and teamwork contributions, achieving professional development milestones, and adherence to safety protocols.
Identifying Employee Strengths and Skills
At Blake, various strategies should remain crucial in understanding and leveraging employee strengths to stimulate their performance. Primarily, the organization must focus on its skill inventories (Paul & Heijden, 2024). The inventories are detailed and showcase certifications, professional achievements, and the interests of each employee. Secondly, the organization can conduct regular employee surveys to ...
