Show that the narrow thesis will investigate two or three important segments or components of the issue that drive the debate. Reputable outside sources will be sought for both sides of the debate, and the focus of each side will concern each of the two or three selected segments or components of the

thesis. This type of confined and deliberate focus produces strong, sound, and rational arguments

that aligns your stance and position on the thesis subject.

An Abstract reveals the topic, a subject of issue in the topic, and a narrow thesis with selected

components that drive the debate about this subject. Your stance in this debate promotes brief

statements about your conclusions and recommendations regarding this subject.

The body of the research paper involves the debate over this subject by reputable outside sources

whose published information and quotations are properly cited using APA internal citation

methods. The best and standard debate method introduces a single segment or component of the

thesis subject, then shows the critical debate and proponents of each side of this issue. Then the

next segment or component is debated, and so on until the end of the debate. This division of

debate topics produces sound and substantial information suitable for a critical audience.

Your conclusions about this subject have their foundation in the preceding debate, and you may

follow one side of the debate or establish you own viewpoint on the subject. Whichever way you

choose, present your case for this stance and judgement. Doing this promotes your closing

recommendations and appeals about this important subject.

Texas Gas/Oil Operations and Development: Boom or Gloom?
Abstract
Over the years, there has been an increase in the discussion of oil and gas production in Texas. The main reason is that most people have been surprised by how the production has been over many years without growing extinct. Furthermore, the people have also been looking forward to understanding this production's measures in this state and America. The main reason is that this process would help them make informed decisions about whether the government should stop or continue this production. This research has shown that oil and gas production has had outstanding benefits for the country. For instance, it has boosted the country's GDP over the years. Moreover, it has been a source of employment and support industries in the region, making it one of the most outstanding cities in the world.
However, despite its outstanding benefits, it also has some weaknesses. For instance, this production has been a major source of air pollution. There have been other instances where it has caused water pollution and the death of some animals. Furthermore, this production has exposed people to health conditions such as asthma and cancer. Since production has benefits and weaknesses, the paper addresses the measures that the government should use to minimize weaknesses and maximize benefits. For instance, it should ensure the companies treat the air and waste before emitting or disposing of it. Moreover, the government should employ hefty fines on companies breaking these regulations. These methods will help the production to continue having outstanding impacts.
Pros of Oil and Gas Production in Texas
One of the reasons that have caused Texas to continue booming is that it has succeeded in maintaining its leadership position. For instance, Texas is the leading state in gas and oil production. For instance, in 2021, it accounted for 25% of all the natural gas market in the U.S. Furthermore, this year, this state accounted for 43% of all the crude oil produced in the U.S. Texas has also been highlighted as the leading state with the highest number of crude oil refineries and the greatest refining capacity. For instance, Texas has 31 petroleum refineries with a combined capacity to process approximately 5.9 million crude oil barrels daily. This will account for approximately 32% of the total American refining capacity. Furthermore, Texas has also been the leading state in electricity production since it produces 12% of the total electricity produced in America.
Being the leading country in oil production has helped this state continue booming for long. For instance, when the company leads mass production, it will likely enjoy economies of scale. For example, since the state purchases most of the production products in bulk, it will likely have higher bargaining power than the others. This will help the state save costs compared to the other states. Furthermore, since the state also produces in bulk, it is cheaper than when it produces less. This instance usually makes the companies enjoy more profits. Furthermore, the high production usually attracts the support industries. For instance, after the production of crude oil, there will be a need for this oil to be processed. This process attracts the processing companies, further increasing the business's performance.
Texas oil has also been booming since it has produced oil for more than 200 years in the industry. For instance, as early as the 1860s, Texas oil had been produced. In 1866 Lyne T. Barret, who was residing in Nacogdoches County, first produced the oil well in Texas. Later in 1886, George Dulling, a rancher in Bexar County, discovered another small quantity of oil 1886. However, after this discovery, he did not attempt to produce it commercially. Later in 1894, the Corsicana City crews discovered another oil portion while drilling water. This instance made them make the first significant economic oil discovery in Texas. Since then, different companies have been extracting oil. Interestingly, despite the many years of extraction, the oil has yet to be extinct. These many years have helped to make the Texas gas oil boom since most people have been familiar with it for a long time.
Furthermore, this existence has helped it gain confidence from the general public. For instance, most people are ready to invest in these companies since they know they have guaranteed returns. This is one reason that has prompted most large oil and production companies to be set up in this region. Furthermore, different research has shown that this oil is not nearly extinct despite being in existence for long. For instance, despite being a small area, the oil will likely serve America for more than 200 years. This research has also prepared most people to invest and set up new old industries since they know that the risk of the oil growing extinct is minimal.
The other reason Texas has continued booming is its great impact on global value. As discussed, Texas is one the leading state in the United States that produce oil and gas. For instance, this state produces approximately 1.7 billion barrels, a source of government revenue. For instance, oil and gas greatly impact the country since it accounts for approximately 9% of the state's GDP. Moreover, the oil and gas industry has been one of the greatest factors boosting Texas's economy. For instance, Texas has been ranked as the 9th largest economy globally when the classification is done through GDP.
Oil and gas have been one of the country's income sources. It has boosted it by offering employment opportunities (Cai et al., 2019). For instance, the Texas oil and gas industry has produced more than 2.5 million jobs globally. For instance, more than 400,000 Texans have been directly employed by the company. Furthermore, every direct job these companies create creates another 2.2 jobs in other areas of the Texas economy. For instance, some people will transport oil and gas while others will start oil and gas industries. This instance has therefore boosted the economics of Texas residents and the world in general.
Since oil and gas have played a critical role, the government is employing measures to ensure that the following trend will continue. For instance, the government creates the right environment for this business to succeed. One of the measures it has embraced is charging high taxes to the companies producing the oil. Moreover, the government is not charging high taxes for imports of the machines used for production. This process helps to reduce the cost of production.
Cons of Oil and Gas Production in Texas
Even though the Texas and gas industry's growth has some outstanding benefits in this region, it also has some weaknesses. For instance, the establishment of these industries has caused an increase in air pollution. For instance, oil and gas production is one of the sources of methane, one of the most dangerous greenhouse gas. For example, gas usually has the potential to cause methane. Methane is usually a result of more than 25 times to cause of global warming compared to carbon dioxide (De Gouw, 2020). The longer this process takes place, the more this process will increase the risk of global warming in this area while also causing global impact. Furthermore, this industry is one of the main causes of the largest industrial source of volatile organic compounds emissions, one of the groups...
