Hi there , Here is the link to the research homework. Please copy and open the link. The template how to do this is below the link. Writing a 1 page proposal for your research project. Think about the issue and how it is explored in the NOVEL. Narrow the issue to a topic by: Talking to people Looking in professional journals, news magazines, popular magazines Surfing the Web (keyword, subject searches) Freewriting on subject Narrow further by: Asking yourself journalists’ questions—who, what, where, when, why, how? Developing “working thesis” or set of “research questions” Now that you have some information to go on, it is time to formalize it into a Proposal. A proposal is your suggestion for a project. It is a preliminary plan for investigating your topic. Your proposal should be 250-500 words typed, double-spaced, and should cover the elements below (not necessarily in order and not as a mere list of answers to the questions.) the origin and purpose of the project—why you chose this one and one you hope to learn in the process of researching it some idea of the general thesis direction—what do you want to find out? some analytical questions and the other questions that you will try to answer—those that have relevance or can provide background for your analysis, as wells as those that will shape your analysis—what do you want to find out? any assumptions about or knowledge of the subject that you already have—so you (we) can make sure that you remain open-minded to all information that you uncover https://www(dot)npr(dot)org/2008/05/12/16516865/american-indian-boarding-schools-haunt-many Here is a template to help you generate the material that you would put in the research proposal. NOTE--Please be more than BASIC here-show some thought and interest in developing your proposal. You can really help yourself by be thorough, logical, detailed. SIMPLY FILLING IN THE BLANKS WILL NOT SUFFICE. After working through the items here, you would then incorporate all of the information into a proposal. USE MLA FORMAT (points will be deducted for the following: 1.)anything other than double-spaced, 2.)lacking name, 3.)date 4)Research Topic Proposal--as assignment title. My subject is _____________________________________________________________________________ I want to know __________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________________________________ because ___________________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________________________________. I know that ______________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________________ because ___________________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________________________________. I suspect that ____________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________________ because ___________________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________________________________. I feel that this issue is _____________________________________________________________________ because ___________________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________________________________. (anything else you want to say?) _____________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________________ Now, looking those answers over, generate some questions that you would need to answer to get TO those core concerns presented by your bright curiosity and fertile imaginations…. On a separate piece of paper, generate at least 3 questions that begin with: “What…” “Where…” “Who…” “When…” These are facts – you will need to find out where to find them out! (You may even start with Wikipedia, and use the article’s REFERENCES – NOT the article itself!) You may or may not use these sources as your final 3+… Now, generate at least 3 questions that begin with: “How…” “Why…” These are analytical questions – they will be central to your research!!!

Your Name Name of Your Professor Name of the Course Date American Indian Boarding Schools My research proposal topic is about American Indian boarding schools. In particular, these educational institutions were established in the mid-19th century by Christian missionaries in collaboration with the American government (American Indian National Museum).
