Methods Research Design This study examines the impact of various background music on the memory of university students through a well-controlled between-subjects experimental study. The research will consist of 60 participants, 20 in each group, and the groups are only exposed to one condition and not to the other, thus ruling out the effects of the practice. Memory is assessed using a word recall test in which participants are required to recall as many of the 20 nouns that were presented to them during their assigned auditory condition as possible.
