The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the unemployment rate monthly and annual basis. The monthly seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 5.7% in January 2015, then 4.9% a year later, and 4.7% in January 2017 (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2020).
