-Write a persuasive essay (no less than SIX pages in length) that encourages the reader to “give.”

-Demonstrate the ability to make and support a Persuasive claim in a well-supported, organized, and cohesive essay.

-Demonstrate an understanding of audience appeals and the ability to use appeals effectively in persuading the reader.

- Module 4 Case is a Persuasive essay in which the writer encourages the reader to give in some way to a worthy cause. The writer must first select a licensed not-for-profit organization with a web presence before identifying a specific audience and appeal(s). Please note that giving comes in all shapes and sizes and not just financial contributions.

A significant part of persuasive writing is appeal. Various appeals in your essay may be used to encourage your target audience to act. It may be helpful to imagine you're writing a persuasive speech in which you must capture your audience's attention, reel them in with specific details (and appeals), and then seal the deal with the close in which you leave them with a lasting impression.

Marriages in Light of the 21st Century
Introduction
As an advocate of the National Organization for Marriage, the need to address the subject of marriages is considered to have grown in depth in several states, an aspect that is evident in the numerous divorce cases that occur on a daily basis. Statistics clearly indicate the close to 30% of the marriages that hit a rock and a hard place are arranged among several communities (National Organization for Marriage, 2017). This clearly necessitates the need to ensure that individuals understand the institution of marriage before they leap into it, an aspect that this essay seeks to explore.
Thesis: Making the institution of marriage a success clearly depends on the chemistry fabrics woven in finding the right partner either through dating or arranged marriage, an aspect that this paper seeks to address.
Marriages in Light of the 21st Century
There are two primary methods of spouse selection in different communities: by dating and through the use of a matchmaker in considering an arranged marriage. Traditionally, individuals in the United States meet their future spouses through dating. Unfamiliar with arranged marriages, most of the Americans reject this approach without tasting its fruits. Within an arranged marriage, prospective spouses are bound to meet each other through the efforts of a matchmaker, with the advantage of meeting several other mates as possible. At the same time, the spouses have the full jurisdiction to refute any of the matches proposed to them by the matchmaker (Davé, 2012). However, marriage needs to be viewed as a sacred institution everywhere and not merely a playing ground. This therefore, requires individuals to make mature decisions on who they want to marry and make resolutions on the fact that their first marriage will be better than the last one. In comparison to dating, I find assurance that arranged marriages are more successful compared to marriages founded on the grounds of dating. This view is supported by a number of facts that support arranged marriages as compared to the unions established in the canals of dating. In as much as dating is considered as a trend in the 21st century, consideration should be given on how to tap into its benefits in relationships.
In an arranged marriage setting, both the prospective spouses commit themselves to a clear objective of unifying their relationship. Both the spouses’ cement their relationship by developing mature attitudes towards each other, an aspect that is evident considering that the average age of individuals seeking arranged marriages is considered higher as compared to the average age of marriage. In other words, in arranged marriages, the average age of a man stands at 32, while that of a woman remains pegged at 28. With a clear outlook and objective in mind, an individual is likely to choose a mate who will be of help in building a lasting relationship leading to a successful marriage. On the other hand, marriages that result from dating are not in many cases approach with the same commitment (Ghimire & Axinn, 2013). In as much as women may desire to continue still following their careers instead of entering the institution of marriage, in most cases, their mates are likely to force them out of employment in a bid to get married. Moreover, several young couples enter into marriage founded on dating for curiosity, with the perception that this would make them seem older and more sophisticated. Given this, if partners marry for the purpose of fulfilling self-desires or to beat the age limit, then this may not be considered as a full marriage commitment.
An individual who choose arranged marriages, in this case, follow mature procedures in the selection of their mates than people who opt to date. Seventy-eight percent of women who seek arranged marriages put their strong commitment foot forward and earning potential as some of the first requirements for their prospective husbands. This does not mean that the husband needs to have a lot of money, but rather a stable job which will spur the horizons of the marriage. Financial challenges are in most cases the root causes of divorce cases since this aspect jeopardizes a family’s social status. Women from healthy families are perceived to make good wives in as much as they are considered as traditional wives who are obedient, tolerant, respectful and content with what they have in life (Ghimire & Axinn, 2013). Besides this, individuals who are choosing the dating approach to adhere to different procedures in selecting their dates, and predictably their wives. Some of the prevalent things that these people are interested on include the appearance, social status, and their capacity to have fun. Additionally, these people remain interested in gaining experiences and exposures in having several relationships with different kinds of individuals. In this case, it is considerably important to establish that the procedures they follow ...
