Nonetheless, exclusion of women from politics and other leadership positions, employment discriminations, payment discriminations and other forms of discrimination continue even in the developed world, hence the call for the realization of gender equality in the developed and the developing nations. Advancements in Gender Equality Political inclusion has been one of the most remarkable achievements of gender equality enhancement as it has given women a voice in the political realm. Today women have risen to leadership corridors; occupying top executive and political posts, presidents, cabinet secretaries, and parliamentarians. Notable female leaders include Angela Merkel of Germany until her retirement in 2021, Helen Clark of New Zealand up to 2008, and the current vice president of the United States. These notable women leaders signify progresses in representation in what used to be all-male political arenas. The education sector has shown promising results in eradicating gender differential with males and females having similar opportunities. Girls and young women have relatively had better access to primary, secondary and tertiary education, many countries have reached the percentage parity in school attendance and performances (“UN Women,” 2020).
