Why I selected this individual and/or team and how they will support my success in the MSN program and as a practicing nurse:
Notes: The writing center is one of the most important academic resources that will support my success in the MSN program. Found under the academic resources column, the writing center help students making suggestions on formatting APA, referencing, grammar and proof reading. The writing center is critical to my success in the MSN program because I intend to submit my draft paper work for proof reading, get suggestions and make corrections before submitting my final paperwork.

Why I selected this individual and/or team and how they will support my success in the MSN program and as a practicing nurse:
Notes: The Walden University is a great resource and will greatly support my success in the MSN program. The Walden library has a great database base that will help me and other MSN student search for credible articles, publications, webinars and media. The library will be my first recourse throughout my MSN when searching for credible peer-review articles when writing my paper.

Why I selected this individual and/or team and how they will support my success in the MSN program and as a practicing nurse:
Notes: Dr. Kwi-Mancho is one of the Practitioner I admire in my profession career. She works at St. Elizabeth Psychiatric hospital in Washington DC and is a part time professor at Washington Adventist University. She encourages everyone around her to further their educational career. She is a great critical thinker, full of body of knowledge and a supporter of education. Critical thinking is very important in my profession in solving patient's problems and decision making process with creativity to enhance the effect. It is an essential process for safe, efficient and skillful nursing intervention. Dr. Kwi is ready to assist and will be my recourse person in case I have any critical thinking, writing, or clinical issues during my MSN program. She is a great person to work with.

Why I selected this individual and/or team and how they will support my success in the MSN program and as a practicing nurse:
Notes: The catalog and student hand book is a very important resource that will help me succeed in my MSN program. The catalog and student hand book will help me and other MSN student find, read and understand about the University goals, mission statement and its vision. It will also help me with the understanding of student expectation and their responsibilities, academic calendar, Tuition and financial Aid, academic progress and grading policies and where to locate Walden offices. With the student hand book and catalog I will be able to navigate successfully through my MSN program.

Week 2 | Part 2: Academic Resources and Strategies
I have identified the following academic resources and/or strategies that can be applied to success in the nursing practice in general or my specialty in particular.
Directions: In the space below Identify and describe at least three academic resources or strategies that can be applied to the MSN program, and at least three professional resources that can be applied to success in the nursing practice in general or your specialty in particular. For each, explain how you intend to use these resources, and how they might benefit you academically and professionally.
Academic Resource/Strategy 1
The library is one of the most significant academic resources that will facilitate my MSN program success. In particular, I like reading different resources and understanding the importance of evidence-based practice in nursing. I will use both the physical and online library learning materials from my school. When it comes to completing my projects and assignments, I will do my research in the library since I will have access to a myriad of crucial resources that will enable me to gain more knowledge and skills. Some of the materials that one can get from the library include peer-reviewed journals, articles, magazines, webinars, and research papers (Marshall, Morgan, Klem, Thompson, &Wells, 2014). Specifically, since my school's library is open all the time, I will be a regular visitor to this place. I will collaborate with the staff so that they can guide me on how to benefit from scholarly materials offered maximally.
Academic Resource/Strategy 2
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website is the other academic resource I will utilize in my MSN program. The CDC is a source of credible and valid information that cannot be obtained from somewhere else. During my studies, I will do research on numerous illnesses and their pathophysiology (Farbman & Byrd, 2017). One of the most important things in nursing is to find credible information that is accurate and not misleading. In that light, the CDC will enable me to get up-to-date information about various diseases, risk factors, statistics, and proper guidelines on how to control or prevent the spread of various disease outbreaks and pandemics. With that kind of data at my fingertips, it will be possible to handle multiple health conditions from different demographics. 
Academic Resource/Strategy 3
The other most significant academic resource is the writing center. Specifically, effective communication is one of the crucial things in the MSN program. Nurses are taught how to communicate well among themselves. They must know how to relate with their clients well, which is why communication is vital. The writing center is where one can improve his or her writing skills (Johnson & Rulo, 2019). Since I will handle numerous essays, research papers, theses, and other forms of academic writing, I need to be conversant with various writing structures. The writing center is essential and will enable me to improve my grammar, scholarly writing and master different writing formats, such as MLA, APA, and Harvard. I need to gain this knowledge so that I will not have difficulties when coming up with articles and journals in my field.
Professional Resource/Strategy 1
NursingCAS is a professional resource that will help me to develop and grow my career. Indeed, it is a single online application service that enables individuals to apply to multiple programs in various participating schools simultaneously. Over 275 schools accept NursingCAS applications (NursingCAS, 2021). Since the MSN program is not my final education level, I will pursue other certificate courses and probably return to school a few years after my graduate study. For this reason, I will use NursingCAS to search for appropriate nursing certifications and research projects to participate in to address issues in real-life. Overall, I will use NursingCAS as a platform for career growth and development.
Professional Resource/Strategy 2
The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) is the only most prominent national professional nurse practitioners' (NPs) membership organization that accept all nursing specialties. AANP will be significant in my career growth and development since it will allow me to interact with other NPs from different fields and geographical areas. For instance, AANP offers up-to-date information, education resources, and NPs' advocates at the federal and state levels who participate in policymaking. In other words, the organization provides resources and relevant information that nurses can use in their profession. Moreover, AANP offers other benefits, such as liability insurance, incentives, support for NPs' who want to further their education, and hold conferences and fellowships to educate nurses (American Association of Nurse Practitioners, n.d.). In that light, I want to be a member of AANP to ensure that I do not miss any opportunity for career growth and development.
