Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT) is used to evaluate burnout based on four major symptoms, which are exhaustion, mental distance, cognitive impairment, and emotional impairment (Schaufeli et al., 2020). According to Hadžibajramović et al. (2020), a high score in these domains can harm the performance and well-being in the workplace. This project evaluates the role of an educational intervention guided by the introduction of yoga in increasing the staff knowledge on burnout and in decreasing the symptoms. Evidence-Based Practice Question The guiding EBP question is: Will an educational intervention enhance staff knowledge of burnout and the benefits of yoga, while also reducing exhaustion, mental distance, cognitive impairment, and emotional impairment among outpatient clinic staff? Objectives This project establishes three measurable objectives: Knowledge Gain: Staff knowledge of burnout and the benefits of yoga will increase by 20% following the educational intervention. Symptom Reduction: BAT subscale scores for exhaustion, mental distance, cognitive impairment, and emotional impairment will decrease by 15% within 21 days post intervention. Total Burnout Reduction: BAT overall scores will decrease by 15% within 21 days post intervention. Methodology To measure the results, both a baseline knowledge survey and the Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT) will be conducted to test the results in a pretest-posttest design.
