The goal is to improve diagnostic accuracy and ensure radiology practices adhere to the latest evidence-based science. Clinical Question The clinical question for this study is: "Does the use of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) improve the detection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) compared to conventional ultrasound?" This topic is relevant because early and accurate detection of HCC is crucial for determining the appropriate treatment plan and improving patient prognosis. Conducting Research Conducting research for evidence-based practice in radiology requires appropriate sources. Platforms like PubMed, Radiology Journals, and clinical guidelines were vital to the study. A researcher must use the above platforms, clinical guidelines, and similar reputable sources in research for evidence-based practice in radiology. With the targeted outcomes, the study looks for systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and RCTs that compare the effectiveness of CEUS and conventional ultrasound for detecting HCC. The studies mentioned are considered gold-standard evidence and provide the highest quality evidence. It is essential to gauge the quality of every research article in a research study. It was imperative that the researcher analyzed the chosen sample size, the design of the study and whether the studies’ results apply to this clinical question.
