Founded in 1888, Kodak grew to become an iconic American multinational imaging and photography business. The company achieved tremendous success due to its innovation of roll film and the introduction of affordable cameras that allowed ordinary people to access photography. However, Kodak encountered a dramatic decline because of its inability to embrace the digital revolution in photography, which led to financial problems and eventually bankruptcy. The downfall of Kodak demonstrates that the failure to innovate and adapt to new technology and poor strategic decisions are detrimental to any business, serving as a cautionary tale for businesses in the competitive landscape and rapid technological changes.
