It is quite clear from the documentary that the justice system in the United States is marred with many issues. There seem to be many offenders in the United States compared to other nations since each prison receives approximately 2000 or more cases daily. If that number is extrapolated to mirror the instances in a year, that number is quite alarming. As a result of this high number of offenders, the prison infrastructure in the United States is overwhelmed, resulting in overcrowding in the prisons. This phenomenon predisposes the inmates to the risk of infectious diseases and other negative health-related events. The producer of the documentary gives a general overview of the real situation in the prisons in the United States. The issues picked from this documentary are worrying and call for an overhaul of every aspect of the justice system for future generations.
