Design A Project Charter For A New Database System

Project Overview

In the team project you will essentially go through the stages of database development to solve an information need. It can be something in your work environment, for another organization, or a case that you make up. We will be using the Oracle Database management system (DBMS) for the projects.



The objective of this deliverable will be to notify stakeholders of the topic chosen for the group project. This deliverable will not be graded but it must be submitted and approved before you can proceed with the project. This is a brief (1-2 pages) document that must include the following information:



1. Title of the project



2. Team name



3. Project overview

a. A brief statement, in common language, of the background and objectives of the project, including the problem you are attempting to solve or the opportunity for improvement that you hope to exploit.



b. A description of a business situation:

Describe briefly mission statement of an organization (e.g. types of organization, Number of employees, purpose of business, locations, etc)
