PART A – The Problem-Solving Roles of Participant Used in the Decision-Making Process
The Roles and Behaviours Used While Problem Solving
1 (a)Describe the four main roles (which are specific and relevant managerial behaviors) you yourself undertook while you worked toward solving the problem in this assignment. These roles should be based on those identified by a well-known management behavioral theorist such as Belbin or Mintzberg. Provide an example of you undertaking each of these four roles
I undertook several roles as outlined by Belbin. These roles include plant, teamwork, coordinator, and implementer.
The first role is Plant. According to this role, an individual ought to be creative, unorthodox, and imaginative. The person should have a high capability in solving complex problems. I helped my team members solve challenging problems while writing the report. I helped our team leader make critical decisions.
The second role is teamwork. This role requires a person to be cooperative in the team and diplomatic. In our group, I ensured to positively contribute to any ideas that needed brainstorming. I helped build the group member's thinking capacities, which enabled us to write a reliable report.
I also played the role of a coordinator. The role requires a person to promote the decision-making process by clarifying goals. On various occasions, I assisted the team leader in making important decisions.
The last role I played is that of an implementer. This goal requires a person to turn different ideas into action and be disciplined. I was disciplined throughout the research and obeyed the instructions given by the team leader.
2 (a)Critique (judge whether you did it well or not) the effectiveness of you undertaking these roles you yourself undertook (you described in 1 (a) above). In other words, for each role, describe how you could improve in the future.
Plant- I think I could improve this role by being more imaginative. Solving business problems requires an individual to think beyond the solution at hand. Such would enable them to create better solutions to the problem. This requires the person to be extremely imaginative.
Teamwork- I would improve this role by being more cooperative with team members in the future. During the research, I might have considered my points to be the best fit for the report. I would improve my teamwork capabilities by appreciating other people's contributions to the group.
Coordinator- I do not think that I can make the perfect group leader. During the research, I helped the leader with critical information that helped create a reliable paper. I would improve this role by becoming a better person at clarifying goals.
Implementor- I think I can improve this role by being more disciplined in the future.
And
(b)Identify and explain four roles each other person in the group undertook and judge that person's effectiveness at undertaking those group roles.
Four roles of each team member

They can improve this role by learning better communication methods. In some cases, it could turn out unclear what the member was trying to communicate.

This role requires a person to solve conflicts with a group leader ensured that the group was always united.
I do not think there is much to improve on regarding this role.

I don’t think there is much improvement that can be done regarding this role. The member proved to be very useful in growing the unity of the group.
Figurehead
This role describes a person who can lead without real power.
Our study was based on the cakeshop where this member works. She showed exceptional skills in guiding us through the research even though she was not the group leader

PART B – Reflections on the Quality of Your Project Proposal
The Problem-Solving Process Described in Your Proposal
1 (a)Copy the words used in the Group Research Proposal you used to describe the business problem you intended to research and solve (Assessment One).
Royal Cake Workshop faces the constant challenge of providing fresh products to meet customers' needs and control costs associated with the correct resourcing arrangement. The problem that arises in this business is that the daily surplus products cause the waste of resources and decreased resource utilization. This problem emerged from an interview with the operational manager at Royal Cake Workshop and interaction with employees.
At the moment, Royal Cake Workshop should work to ensure it has the right product in the right quantities at the right time, place, and price. Failure to meet any of these 'rights' can lead to operational challenges for the business. For example, overstock will lead to unsalable products which will be completely wasted. This phenomenon will lead the business to experience high operation costs and loss of profits. Out of stock will cause the business to lose its competitiveness in the market and hard to achieve the demands of the consumers. At present, the Royal Cake Workshop is facing the business challenge of resourcing control. This problem depends on the relationship between the production process and inventory.
And then:
(b)Now that you have had time to clarify the problem, rewrite the problem you researched; so that it now more clearly describes the problem you were actually solving.

(c)Comment on the different description of the problem between what you said in the proposal and the revised description of the problem as shown by comparing the above two questions. In the unusual circumstance, there are no significant differences state why this is so.
I have realized that there are no significant differences between the two versions of the problem. We did a lot of research on how to write a research problem, and this could be the reason why the research problem does not require many chang...
