Having this Chartered Manager qualification would be a great achievement since it would increase my competency and reputation in the organisation, particularly as the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Managing Director at the BVI Ports Authority. Even though I do not have direct subordinates, this reputable certification will enable me to deliver more assistance regarding staff management, decision-making, and the application of strategic plans. With the above educational background, this is a very conducive step in my career development.In 2013, I completed the CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership, which equipped me with the necessary knowledge of management basics. Based on this learning, I completed and achieved the Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership in 2021. These qualifications, along with my current pursuit of a master’s degree in public administration from the University of the West Indies, have helped to enrich my knowledge in areas relevant to my job at the Authority.Earning Chartered Manager status would mark a highly significant career accomplishment.
