The main objective of this project is to obtain funding that will enable academic and professional development activities such as field travel, educational resources, and research initiatives for the club. Achievement of these aims depends on conducting a silent auction with raffles that simultaneously enables community engagement with students, builds connections with local businesses, and raises club visibility. 2 Problem/Opportunity The University of Memphis Earth Science Club was founded in 2002 (The University of Memphis, 2023b). It maintains approximately 50 current members who range in age from 18 to 25. The club provides educational opportunities that combine academic development with professional advancement and practical Earth Science learning experiences. The club successfully engages its members but confronts substantial funding difficulties that obstruct its capability to supply educational materials and arrange research projects and field-based activities. The club has decided to launch a silent auction and raffle event as its primary approach to raising funds. The organization hosts this event to create financial backing through student and faculty funding and local supporter donation programs. Through this initiative, the organization will build strong bonds with local sponsors and businesses, which can produce sustainable partner-based support. Promoting visibility through the event helps the club attract new members and raise awareness about its mission and activities. 3 Project Goal The primary goal of the Earth Science Club Silent Auction is to raise funds to support academic and professional development activities. 4 Project Objectives * Objective 1: Collect a total of $5000 through silent auctioning, raffling, and other channel solicitations before the end of the event. * Objective 2: At least 85% of all attendees are engaged in the silent auction or the raffle. * Objective 3: Successfully locate sponsors and local businesses to support the fundraiser. * Objective 4: Solicit the participation of people in high-traffic areas such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, as well as within the university. * Objective 5: Ensure adherence to the provisions of the university regulations and the laws of the host country to facilitate the event organization. 5 Project In-Scope The University of Mem...
