Contagion is the spread or the transmission of an idea, a disease or an influence from one place to another or from one person or one group to another. Contagion, in the context of “Commanding Heights: The New Rules of the Game” is the rapid transmission or widespread transmission of the crises in economies across the regions and the countries that is most of the time brought about by interconnection of the global markets as well as the financial systems (Yergin, 2019).
